Restaurants are an important staple for our services as we provide events in venues of different types. This page is to explain, in English, the nuances between restaurant type venues in Italy.

When dining in Italy, the options are endless but there are eatery designations that are wise to be aware of! Depending on what type of venue your event is scheduled at may affect the ambiance and feel of your event.

TRATTORIAS

The Trattorias are neighborhood, family-run, traditional restaurants that serve local dishes and specialties. They can be found throughout Italy.

RISTORANTES

The Ristorantes are full service, more formal, restaurants. Better suited for larger groups, they have more services to accommodate and offer the patrons.

OSTERIAS

Osterias are, simply put, "wine bars" that also serve simple meals that are changed daily, depending on the availability of fresh ingredients, usually served with two or three courses at a set price.

ENOTECAS

Enotecas are basically bars, usually no food is served. Italians do not drink frequently, but may drink some wine or a cocktail, before arriving at a Ristorante. Some Enotecas now serve appetizers.

For those not from Greece, understanding the host country and working to better show consideration for the differences between the cultures can make all of the difference when conducting business abroad. Most of THEY improv events are conducted in English. English tends to be the shared common language of our clients, though we may need to make some adjustments for varying cultures and backgrounds. Pop culture, for instance, might not be as shared. We will be happy to discuss your needs and adjust.

BILINGUAL

We can operate corporate events in a bilingual environment. Let us know your concerns and we will adapt our approach to address your needs in our program. We will go over rates and fees and determine the best approach.

ALTERNATIVE LANGUAGES

We do have facilitators from all over the world who can operate for your group remotely or in-person in a variety of languages. Simply reach out and ask and we can work on developing options for your needs.

The entire country is steeped in history. Every small town has something hundreds of years old that has a major impact on how we see ourselves. Having gatherings in such a land of historical significance raises the stakes of any endeavor. We can help you to experience the country the way it was meant to be and ensure that the lessons that should be imparted are understood.

While the country speaks Italian, of course, much of the country is designed around making tourists feel safe. Even the train kiosks are translated for English speakers and most employees at shops dealing with tourists at all tend to have a working knowledge of English. This makes much of the country a good place to go for unique gatherings at exotic locales.

We work with groups that are small, medium and large throughout Italy. Whether in Rome, the suburbs, other cities, or more rural areas, we come to our clients. It never made sense to get our own facilities. Coming to a venue of your choosing allows our clients to make their own decisions about everything, customizing every event to their desires. That is why understanding the differences between the types of venues, the Ristorantes (full service restaurants), the Trattorias (smaller neighborhood restaurants), the Osterias (wine bars), and the Enotecas (bars), is important. Please note that we just ask that there be enough light to see, enough space to move around comfortably, and it should be quiet enough to hear. Everything else, we can adjust to.
